Monday 6 March 2023
Hi to everyone, the big news in the branch are the results of our Pub of The Year competitions.
A team of assessors went out over the course of January and surveyed all nominated pubs and scored each venue by official criteria set down by CAMRA HQ, with each venue being marked by 2 separate assessors, all of whom were allocated to venues it was felt they had no particular allegiance towards.
The scores awarded were then averaged out and it has to be said the results could not have been any closer with the top 3 pubs scoring within 2 points of each other.
Without further ado we are very proud to announce the results.
Pub of The Year - The New Entertainer, Gorleston
Runner-up - Blackfriars Tavern, Great Yarmouth
Cider Pub of the Year - Nelson Head, Horsey
Runner-up - Blackfriars Tavern, Great Yarmouth

Congratulations to all winners & runners up on their achievement. Certificates will be distributed in the coming weeks if not already done.
