  • August Blended Branch Meeting and Social Saturday 1 August 2026 12:30 Tavern

We will be holding the August Branch Meeting at the Tavern in Belton at 12.30, we plan to be there for 2 hours and then it on the Bus back to Gorleston for a Walkabout.

We have had a great time in Gorleston on a few occasions now so this should be another great day.

Hope to see you all there.

  • Caister 6 @ 5 Friday 21 August 2026 Centurion

After the recent Branch Meeting we agreed to bring back the 5 @ 5 idea to get us out and about to pubs that we might not always to go. This was very popular recurring event in the past, the first area we thought we would visit is Caister. We thought we would try and out do Norwich and get in 6 pubs on our first outing.

First stop will be the Centurion at 5.00. If you are traveling from Gorleston you can get the No 8 Bus from the High St at 16.03 reach Market Gates at 16.18 and departing at 16.25. It should arrive close to the Centurion before 17.00. The bus Runs about every 15 minutes so you can play catch up with the early Birds.

We will leave the Centurion around 18.10 going again by Bus to Branfords., leaving approxately about 19.10. Next watering hole will be a short walk to the Kings Arms, Leaving around 20.00 to go to the Never Turn Back and the Ship. Timing at this point will be crucial to leave the Ship by 22.00 to get to the Gate.

The last bus home will be at 22.50 outside the Post Office, so we need to leave the Gate by 22.45. The bus gets back to Market Gates at 23.05 and the Feathers in Gorleston at 23.20. Or there is a No 1 Bus at 23.19 getting back to Market Gates at 23.30 if anyone needs to finish just one more.

These are rough times, everyone is welcome to meet up at any point in the evening but for the more devoted Members of the Branch, this could be a very long and interested evening.

    Hope to see you there.
